Here at Mental Wellness Thompson Okanagan we want to wish you well as this new year is underway! We understand the last new years have been difficult, living through a pandemic can add stress, anxiety, loneliness and more to any persons life. You may be going through a range of feelings and we wanted to give a reminder that it’s okay for you to experience them! Your feelings are yours!!

It’s important to think about who we have as supports in our lives and how they may be able to help out when were having a tough time. That help can be anything from going out for a cup of coffee (or a nice walk if you need to keep you distance), an ear to speak to or a shoulder to cry on, or any other particular skill sets that person has that could help. Those supports can also be from services offered in your community! We have a range of services on our page that we would love for you to utilize!!!

Recently, we have started journaling to reflect on the emotions we’ve been feeling. I can definitely recommend it! It can be daily, weekly, or even when there was just something that happened worth documenting. I enjoy it because then I can go over a situation that happened and think through how I could better address it if it were to happen again and what emotions I was experiencing.

We thank all of our readers for your great support! It truly means a lot to us that people are benefiting from the work we did. We encourage all of you to stay safe but still find a way to find enjoyment in the tough weeks!
